Hi, I’m Ilse!
I’m the founder of YogaIEP, a space dedicated to making yoga accessible and inclusive for everyone. My passion lies in helping people like you discover how yoga can transform your life – just as it transformed mine. Let me share a bit about my story so you’ll know who is guiding you on your yoga journey!
My Yoga Journey
My journey with yoga began years ago when a friend gifted me a few lessons. I instantly loved the balance between effort and relaxation during each class and how refreshed I felt afterward! However, it wasn’t until I joined an online 7-day yoga challenge that I fully realized the power of a daily practice. In just one week, I felt noticeable improvements: less pain, more energy, and a deeper sense of calm.
As someone living with GPA (Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis), a serious chronic autoimmune disease, these changes were nothing short of life-changing. Yoga became my go-to medicine – a practice that not only eased my pain and fatigue but also nurtured my overall well-being. Since then, yoga has been my daily anchor; there’s hardly a day that goes by without it!
In 2021, I decided to deepen my practice and enrolled in a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program. What began as a personal journey quickly evolved into a desire to share yoga’s transformative benefits with others. In 2023, I completed my 300-hour advanced training, alongside certifications in Breathwork, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Meditation and Yoga Nidra.
My Teaching Style
At YogaIEP, I offer accessible yoga at a gentle pace, thoughtfully designed to help you build a daily practice at home. A practice that nurtures the balance between body, mind, and breath, helping you feel healthier, more energetic, and fitter.
I aim to create a space where everyone feels welcomed, empowered, and at ease. My classes are gentle and adaptable, offering modifications and variations to meet your unique needs. I encourage you to listen to your body, honor its capabilities, and trust your journey.
Whether you’re new to yoga or looking to deepen your practice, there’s always room for you in my classes. My mission is to help you develop a sustainable daily yoga practice that supports your overall well-being – regardless of your experience, physical condition, or background.
My true passion is guiding individuals facing health challenges such as autoimmune diseases, pain, and fatigue. YogaIEP is here to help you move toward a life that feels lighter, healthier, and more balanced.

My love for singing bowls began during my very first sound bath.
I was lying there, surrounded by sounds and vibrations, and instantly felt: wow, this is doing something to me. It was calming, soothing - I enjoyed it a lot. But what touched me even more deeply happened a bit later, during a private singing bowl massage with my yoga teacher at the time (who, just like I do now, offered both yoga classes and sound sessions).
Because of my illness, I had lung problems - a heavy, tight feeling that was always kind of in the way. During that session, she placed singing bowls on and around my body in different spots. I could feel the vibrations working deep inside me, releasing tension and creating a sense of calm. But then, when I was lying on my belly, she placed a bowl on my back, right above my lungs… She struck it, and I felt a shift quite quickly. My breath became more spacious, lighter. The pressure eased. It was as if actual space had opened up in my chest. Such a powerful experience - I’ll never forget it!
What makes it even more special: I was later able to buy that exact same singing bowl from her. She was selling part of her collection, and this one just had to come home with me. For years, it was my one and only singing bowl. Since then, I’ve slowly built a small collection, but I still use that one bowl regularly - also on myself. When I feel pain or tension somewhere, I place the bowl on that spot and let the vibration do its work. Most of the time I feel real relief afterward - sometimes the pain even completely disappears, and I sleep better.
I will never forget that experience. And now I absolutely love offering soundbaths and singing bowl massages myself, so others can also feel what vibration can do for them. Whether it’s deep relaxation, the release of tension, or the softening of pain - it’s always a joy to witness what it brings.
You can find more information about online sound sessions here or check the schedule here for live (online) events. You can also book a deeply relaxing private singing bowl massage with me - click here for more info.
